The Alumni Meet-2004 was a real success. It turned out to be what we have planned. The beginning was with a cricket match, and it was a fight between the entrepreneurs and the employees. Unfortunately the students who are managing their own business could not manage the BAT and the BALL well. They were defeated by a narrow margin. It was 4 teams with the final between winners of first 2 matches.

This eventful day was them followed by musical chairs for the ex-school girls and the wife of ex-students. Again a big fight was on the show. The wife party could manage to oust all the ex-school girls. Seems they were pretty calculative and sharp after handing the boys of KV. All the three winners were from the wife group.
    
And thanks to the batch of 1986 (12th) represented by Deepak Mahapatra, Debesh Patra, Lalatendu Roy, for the snacks and lovely tea, which was served during the event. It really added up to the freshness of the ongoing event.

After the snacks and tea and the gossip session the musical program stated at around 6 PM with a beautiful "bhajan". Again grateful to the batch of 1977 represented by (Mr.Bhawani) who has arranged the best team of musical professionals to enthrall the crowd of ex-students and their family. The best part was they played the music and the singer of our school were singing beautiful songs. It started with Srafaraj, Nilabdhi Samantray and so many others.

We had some official felicitation like, honoring the senior most ex-teacher Mr.Dinanath Tripathy with shawl and honoring other ex-teacher with Angwastram. We took the honor of felicitating the senior ex-students from batch of 1970 to 1974. It was so nice to see such old background with the current batch of 2004 together on the same party.

The party continued with lot of action packed dance from one of our secretary's Mr.Deepak Mahapatra 4 years old son, he was just electric. This was followed by a lovely Odissi dance from the daughter of our president. And after that was a free way of dancing by our josh type kv-dancers. And the lovely songs of Mr.Pardeep Patnayak (1975 Batch) and Mr. Singh (1979) were just out of any movie. The quality was extremely enchanting which really helped the dinner to appear more delicious. The food was just superb, all those who left the party without the dinner really missed something.
    
Thanks to the Batch of 1979 (Mr.Dilip Motwani, Dr.biren Padhi) and group for arranging the excellent food, which covered soup, rice, dal, roti, panner, mushroom, checken, mix-veg, ice-cream, gulab-jamun. You just ask for it and it was there in the menu. It was a royal treat.

And not to forget, we got lot of sponsorship, like we have proposal for pay entire fees for 5 students, one we have already paid Rs.4000/-. And four more are have already come in the from ex-students like Nawaj Younus, Harjot Singh and group collection Ex-students from 1975 Batch. There was sponsorship for Rs.1000/- for topper 10th from batch of 1986. Also the alumni has also decided to give Rs.2000/- for topper of 12th. Apart from it there will be "Alumni All-Rounder Award" on yearly basis, with cash prize and shield.
  
Finally we call this a success, as the organizing members were not sure if anyone will be coming and we will reach some good figure of 300. Happy to have made it such a successful event. And thanks to those who turned up.

And we expect the number to reach 600 for the next big event on 24 Dec 2005.
